Mortgage rates for the past 52 weeks, at a glance (AP)

The average rate on the 30-year fixed mortgage was nearly flat this week after rising sharply last week, Freddie Mac said Thursday. Two weeks ago, the average rate fell below 4 percent for the first time in history.
